Cayden Booties

Good morning lovelies!

Today's new pattern is for a sweet little pair of loop strap booties. They are very simple to make and use hardly any yarn at all. In fact, you could easily whip up a pair in under an hour, with time to spare! The hardest part about these booties is picking out which buttons to add!

They are also easy to slip onto small delicate feet, and very easy to secure.

Bella Booties

Good morning all!

Today's pattern release is for a sweet pair of booties, designed to fit a baby of 0-3 months. It's been a while since I've crocheted for full term newborn sizes, and it's something I'm very excited about doing this year.
These booties are super easy, super fast and... SUPER adorable! The cobble stitch adds a lovely texture, and the contrasting edging some real POP! These would make a fantastic baby shower gift!

Sized To Fit:
0-3 Months

You Will Need:
3mm hook
4ply/light fingering weight yarn in both a main and a contrasting colour. I used cotton, but acrylic would work fine too.
2 small buttons

It's important not to crochet into the joining stitch on the sole, when working in rounds like this, it can look like a stitch, but it isn't.

1: Ch11, hdc into the 2nd ch from hook, hdc in the next 8 chains, 4dc in the last chain, working into the same chains, but on the opposite side of the stitches we just made, hdc in the next 9 chains, join to the first hdc

2: Ch3, 2dc in the same stitch, dc in the next 8 stitches, 2dc in each of the next 4 stitches, dc in the next 8 stitches, 2dc in the last stitch. Join to the first dc.

3: Ch1, 2sc in the same stitch, 2sc in the next stitch, sc in the next 8 stitches, *2sc in the next stitch, sc in the next stitch*, repeat 3 more times, sc in the next 8 stitches, 2sc in each of the last 2 stitches. Join to the first sc. Sole complete. End off yarn.

Grab your stitch markers and mark off the 11th stitch on both sides (count from the the 1st stitch to the right of the join as the centre stitch, the top 2 markers in the photo below), this will leave you with 14 stitches in the toe section between markers. With the right side up and the toe pointing left, join your yarn to the stitch with the marker in it, back loop only.

4: This round will be completed in back loops only: ch1, sc in the same stitch, tr in the next stitch, *sc in the next stitch, tr in the next stitch*, repeat until you reach the next marker. -16sts

5: Ch1, turn, sc in the first 3 stitches, sc2tg, sc in the next stitch, sc2tg, sc2tg, sc in the next stitch, sc2tg, sc in the last 3 stitches. -12sts

6: Ch1, turn, sc in the first stitch, tr in the next stitch, *sc in the next stitch, tr in the next stitch*, repeat across - 12sts

7: Ch1, turn, sc2tg 6 times - 6sts

8: Ch1, turn, sc2tg 3 times - 3sts. End off leaving a longish tail. Take the tail, and slip it back into the ch1 and pull tight to close.

Grab your stitch markers again and mark of the 6th stitch on each side (image above). This next round gets a little tricky because we WANT to crochet into the joining stitch/ending stitch from the last round of the bootie sole, so there are no gaps in the heel of the bootie.

9: With the toe of the bootie pointing right, attach the yarn in the same stitch with the marker closest to your body: ch1,  sc in the same stitch, tr in the next stitch, *sc in the next stitch, tr in the next stitch*, repeat twice, (sc, tr) into the joining stitch, *sc into the next stitch, tr into the next stitch*, repeat twice more to reach the next marker. -14sts

10: Ch1 turn, sc in the first stitch, sc2tg, sc2tg, sc in the next 4 stitches, sc2tg, sc2tg, sc in the last stitch -10sts

11: Ch1, turn, sc in the same sticth, tr in the next, *sc in the next stitch, tr in the next stitch*, repeat across. -10sts. End off.

12: Left Bootie: ch17, sc into the 5th chain from hook, sc in each remaining chain, don't end, simply sc into the first stitch from round 11 and in each stitch across. do not end, continue as below:

Right Bootie: Join yarn to the first stitch from row 11, sc in each stitch across, ch17, sc in the 5th chain from hook and each chain across, when you get to the last chain, slst into the edge of the bootie and continue as below:

Finishing: sc down the side of the heel piece, slst in the 4 un-worked stitches on the sole, sc evenly across the edge of the toe opening (that was 12sc for me), slst in the 4 un-worked stitches on the sole, then sc evenly up the remaining heel edge. End off leaving a long tail. Use the tail to close the gap between the heel and the strap. Note, the right bootie won't have a gap.

Weave in all tails.

Take your contrasting yarn and join it to one of the bootie sides, on the sole, and slip stitch around the entire thing, strap included. Be sure not to pull too tight with your slip stitches, as it may distort the bootie. Weave in the tails.

Attach buttons and your done!!!

Little UggieBooties - Free Crochet Pattern

Good morning lovlies!

Here in Tasmania we're in autumn now, and slowly rolling closer to winter. The days are still warm but the nights, boy are they getting colder! Master J definitely needs some warm booties to keep his tootsies warm and toastie, and what better booties then little uggies? It was also a good opportunity to play with some RHSS that I received recently. Oh worsted weight yarn, how I love you!

As far as sizing goes, I started these when Master J was 2 months old, and he is now 3 months and they are still a really good fit so I'm going to go ahead and say 0-3 months, but you may get longer from them depending on bubs foot length. If you find you need longer booties, you can start with an extra chain or 2. The side split makes them easy to get on and easy to adjust, especially if your babba has slim ankles.

Rul ned for dansk oversættelse .
Scroll down for Danish translation.

To make 0-3 Months
4.5mm hook
Worsted weight yarn for your main colour (I used RHSS)
Chenille yarn for the trim (I used craftworks)

Rounds 1-5 are the same for both booties

1. ch14, dc into the 3rd chain from hook, dc in the next 10 chains, dc 6 times in the end chain, working on the opposite side and into the same chains, dc in the next 11 chains, join to the first dc. (28)

2. ch2, 2dc in the first stitch, dc in the next 11 stitches, 2dc in each of the next 4 stitches, dc in the next 11 stitches, 2dc in the last stitch, join to the first dc. (34)

3: ch1, sc in each stitch around back loops only, join. (34)

4: ch2, hdc in the first 12, hdc2tg 5 times, hdc in the last 12 stitches, join. (29)

5: ch2, hdc in the first 9 stitches, dc2tg, dc2tg, dc3tg, dc2tg, dc2tg, hdc in the last 9 stitches, join. (23)

LEFT BOOTIE

6: slst in the first 7 stitches, ch2, dc in the back loops only of all stitches around (including the slst's at the start) do not join. (23dc's)

7: ch2, turn, 2dc in the first stitch, dc in the next 21 stitches, 2dc in the last stitch. (25)

8: ch2, turn, dc in each stitch. (25)

9: ch1, turn, sc in each stitch across. End off (25)

RIGHT BOOTIE

6: turn, slst in the first 7 stitches, ch2, turn, dc in the back loops only of all stitches around (including the slst's at the start) Do not join. (23dc's)

7: ch2, turn, 2dc in the first stitch, dc in the next 21 stitches, 2dc in the last stitch. (25)

8: ch2, turn, dc in each stitch. (25)

9: ch1, turn, sc in each stitch across. End off (25)

TRIM (for both booties)

With chenille yarn join the yarn to the bottom of the split and ch1. hdc evenly up the side, 2hdc in the corner stitch, hdc in each stitch across the top of the bootie, 2hdc in the next corner and then evenly hdc back down the side of the split. Join.

Attach one button to each bootie and weave in all tails.

Add to babies feet, sit back and enjoy the cuteness overload!

(23 st)

7. 2 lm, vend, 2 st I første m, 1 st I de næste 21 m, 2 st i sidste m. (25)

8. 2 lm, vend, 1 st i hver m. (25)

9. 1 lm, vend, 1 fm i hver maske på rækken. Bryd garnet (25)

HØJRE STØVLE

6. Vend, 1 lm i de første 7 m, 2 lm, vend, 1 st I hver maske på rækken igennem bageste maskeled (inklusive kædemaskerne i begyndelsen af rækken) der afsluttes ikke med km. (23 st)

7. 2 lm, vend, 2 st i første m, 1 st i de næste 21 m, 2 st i sidste m. (25)

8. 2 lm, vend, 1 st i hver m. (25)

9. 1 lm, vend, 1 fm i hver maske på rækken. Bryd garnet (25)

Ariel Booties - Micro Preemie Keepsake

Good morning lovely people!
Today's pattern is a follow on from last week's jacket. A little pair of simple booties for 16 weeks. They may be more of a keepsake then a wearable, but as I say, it is nice to know the option is there to make something size appropriate. These tiny booties are barely an inch long, and very quick to make.

You will need
2mm hook
Fingering / 4 ply (I used Moda Vera Gelato)
2 small bows

1: ch8, hdc in the 2nd chain from hook, hdc in the next 5 chains, hdc 4 times in the last chain, do not turn, working on the opposite side of the stitches just made (using the same chains) hdc in all 6 stitches, join to the first hdc with a sl st. (16)

2: ch1, 2sc in the first stitch, sc in the next 6 stitches, 2sc in each of the next 3 stitches, sc in the next 6 stitches, join. (20)

3: ch1, sc in each stitch around, join. (20)

4: ch2, hdc in the first 6 stitches, dc2tg 4 times, hdc in the last 6 stitches, join. (16)

5: ch2, hdc in the first 6 stitches, dc2tg twice, hdc in the last 6 stitches, join. (14)

End off main colour. If desired sl st around opening loosely with a contrasting colour.

I added small bows to the top of the bootie with glue.

7 Round Newborn Booties

Good morning lovlies!

Today's pattern is just so incredibly simple, you will beable to whip up a set in no time! The 7 round booties were designed with charity crafters in mind. We often want to make large quantities of items for donation, and the easier they are to make, well the better! These booties are not only easy to make, but look adorable, and use very little yarn! So they are excellent scrap busters as well. I think that ticks all the boxes!

The pattern given is to make a pair to fit an average sized newborn. I'll come back and add notes on various sizes when I've played with them but using a smaller hook and yarn will create preemie sizes very well.
Worsted weight yarn may give you booties to fit a 3 month old, but that is just a guesstimate, I have no worsted on hand to check.
I'd love to see what colours you guys use, so please consider adding some pics to the Ravelry page: HERE

DK + 4.00mm hook to fit Newborn.
DK + 3.25mm hook to fit 36-38 week preemies

Mini Gathered Flats - Crocheted Preemie Booties

Good morning everyone,

Today I have another little bootie pattern for you. This one is for bubs of 30 weeks gestation, working up with a 6cm sole and with only 5 rounds and a simple gathered tie, they are super fast to make and excellent scrap busters.

You will need:

3mm hook
dk weight (8ply) yarn in main colour
a very small amount of yarn in a contrasting colour for the gather and bow. I have used 3/4/5/8 ply successfully. You could also use ribbon.

R1: ch9, dc in the 3rd from hook twice, dc in the next 5 chains, 4dc in the end chain, Working on the opposite side of the stitches just made (into the backs o the chains) dc in the next 5 stitches, 2dc in the 1st stitch, join.
R2: ch1, 2sc in each of the next 2 stitches, sc in the next 6 stitches, 2sc in each of the next 2 stitches, sc in the next 6 stitches, 2sc in each of the next 2 stitches, join. -24
R3: ch3, dc back loop only in each stitch around, join. -24
R4: ch2, hdc in the first 7 stitches, hdc2tg 5 times, hdc in the last 7 stitches, join. -19
R5: ch1, sc in each stitch around, join.

Take a small length of yarn or ribbon and starting at the toe, weave it in and out of the sc stitches from R5. Pull slightly to gather the ankle opening a little and tie a bow.

Repeat a second time for the next bootie, and you are finished! 1 set from start to finish takes me about 20 minutes. Super fast!
