Good morning lovlies!
Here in Tasmania we're in autumn now, and slowly rolling closer to winter. The days are still warm but the nights, boy are they getting colder! Master J definitely needs some warm booties to keep his tootsies warm and toastie, and what better booties then little uggies? It was also a good opportunity to play with some RHSS that I received recently. Oh worsted weight yarn, how I love you!
As far as sizing goes, I started these when Master J was 2 months old, and he is now 3 months and they are still a really good fit so I'm going to go ahead and say 0-3 months, but you may get longer from them depending on bubs foot length. If you find you need longer booties, you can start with an extra chain or 2. The side split makes them easy to get on and easy to adjust, especially if your babba has slim ankles.

Godmorgen skønne
mennesker!
hjem for nyligt.
For at lave str 0-3 mdr
skal du bruge:
4.5 mm hæklenål
“Worsted weight yarn” (Jeg har brugt RHSS)
Pelsgarn til kanten (Jeg har brgut craftworks)
Omg 1-5 er ens for begge futter

These are really cute! Thanks so much for sharing :) /Vera
ReplyDeleteYou have some of the BEST designs I've seen so far. I absolutely love that you do charity work and not just "say" you do it. Thank you so much for offering your patterns for free! What a wonderful person you are.
ReplyDeleteNice, got to try those
ReplyDeleteI just made these in gray with white trim for my grandson. They are really cute!

Hi Colleen, are you available to help me with a question on this pattern at all? Thanks!
DeleteHow would you make 3-6 month size
ReplyDeleteCan you write a pattern for 3-6 month size even if I add extra stitches on the sole, not sure how to do the shoe and top part with the added stitches.
ReplyDeleteI can do but it probably won't be for a while. Im smack in the middle of the Itty Bitty Giant Hat Drive and just don't have enough hours at the moment.
DeleteI'll add it to my list :)
Adorable, making right away
ReplyDeleteI'm having trouble! When you join the round, do you do it in the chain space or the 1st actual stitch? And when you make your first stitch of that round do you make it in the same stitch you chained in or the next one? I've tried it both ways and each round has a pretty big gap in the back that i have to join over. Looks like missed stitches but I've counted and counted and ripped out and redid but it's still there each time?!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the pattern. I have a 15month old grandson. How would I be able to adjust this pattern to fit him. Plus I would need to put skid proof stuff on the bottom of them as he is a little hellion on wheels and on the go not walking running everywhere.
ReplyDeletepuff paint works great to make any slipper skid proof
DeleteIs this pattern in Uk or USA Terminology?
ReplyDeleteUSA terms hun. All my patterns are. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Myshelle, I have started and undone this pattern three times as I get to step 2 and after dc the next 11 chains and then joining it looks terrible and like ive skipped several stirches. Are you able to help at all??
ReplyDeleteHi, do you have a diagram for this pattern?
ReplyDeleteLove this pattern, it's so clear to understand!!! Thank you for the free pattern. To respond to a previous question, what I did was this: The ch 2 doesn't count as a stitch, so you would join last st in each round to the top of first dc of row, then ch 2 and 1 dc into same space where it was joined. Hope this is clear enough and it helps you.
ReplyDeletethis is a great pattern. used 4.5 hook and the boots are way too big for my 1 month old. i am going to try with a 4.0 hook to see if it will be better. great pattern easy to follow.
ReplyDeleteI tried it in a 4.0 hook for my 1 month old and still too big so I did it with a 3.5 hook and its a little big but a good size to grow into for her. Thank you for this pattern
