CrissCross Pants - Free Preemie Crochet Pattern

Good morning all.

Wow this pattern has been a while in the making. Ive been trying to work up sets lately, because matching sets are just so sweet. These sweet little pants feature alternating rows of cross stitches and hdc's. The repeat is so easy to remember, and the stitch, even though looks a little hard, is super simple to do.

This set will fit around 34/36 weeks gestation. Its a little large on my 32 week doll, but if you went to a 3.5mm you should get close to something that will fit 32 weeks better.

Size
34-36 weeks gestation

You will need
4mm hook
dk weight yarn (8ply, light worsted, number 3 weight yarn) in a main colour, and a contrasting colour.

1. ch55, hdc in the 2nd ch from hook and each across, join. (54)
2. ch2, *skip one stitch, dc in the next stitch, dc in the skipped stitch* repeat around, join.
3. ch1, hdc in each stitch around, join.
4-11: repeat rounds 2 and 3
12. repeat round 2
13. ch1, hdc in the first 27 stitches, join. (27)
14. ch1, *skip one stitch, dc in the next stitch, dc in the skipped stitch*, repeat around, skip the last stitch and join.
15. ch1, hdc in each stitch around, join. (26)
16. ch2, *skip one stitch, dc in the next stitch, dc in the skipped stitch*, repeat around, join.
17-24. Repeat rounds 15 and 16.
25. ch1, *hdc in the first 11 stitches, hdc2tg*, repeat once, join. (24)
26. ch1, *hdc in the next 6 stitches, hdc2tg*, repeat around, join. (21)
27. ch1, sc in each stitch around, join.
End off yarn here.

Rejoin yarn to the first unworked stitch from round 12 (Will be in the crotch area)
Repeat rounds 13-27 to make the second leg.
End off here and weave in all ends. You may have a small gap at the crotch area, go ahead and sew that closed.

To make the tie, chain 100. Weave in and out of the stitches from the first round.

My Measurments
26.5cm from top to bottom
16.5cm across the waist
8.3cm across the width of the leg
15cm from the crotch to the bottom of the leg

Bo's Pants - Free Prem Crochet Pattern

Good morning everyone,

Today's pattern is the matching pants from last weeks post. Super easy to whip up, and like the jacket, will work for either gender. The legs of the pants are crocheted in continual rounds, so there are less joins visible.

You will need to know how to complete the hdc5tg bobble.
To make it, you simply hdc 5 together, but in the one stitch. Here is a quick rundown: yarn over, insert hook into the next stitch, pull yarn through (3 on hook), yarn over, insert hook into the same stitch, pull yarn through (5 on hook), yarn over, insert hook into the same stitch, pull yarn through (7 on hook), , yarn over, insert hook into the same stitch, pull yarn through (9 on hook), yarn over, insert hook into the same stitch, pull yarn through (11 on hook), yarn over, pull through all 11 loops. One bobble completed.

You will need:
DK/Light Worsted/8ply yarn in a main and a contrasting colour
3.75mm hook
stitch marker

1: ch42, be careful not to twist, join.
2: ch2, hdc in each stitch around, join. (42)
3: ch3, dc in each stitch around, join.
4-10: ch2, hdc in each stitch around, join.
11: ch2, hdc in the first 21 stitches, skip the last 21 stitches, join. (one leg hole made)
12: ch1, hdc in all 21 stitches, place marker
13-19: hdc in each stitch around (21) On round 19, after the last stitch, sl st one.
20: Join contrasting colour to the slst and ch2, *hdc in the first 2 stitches, bobble in the next* repeat around ending with a hdc, join.
21: Join main colour and ch2, hdc in each stitch around, join.
End off and weave in tails.
Join the main colour to any unworked stitch on round 11and hdc in each stitch around, join (21)
Repeat rounds 12-21 for the second leg.

To make a tie, chain 90 and weave tie in and out of the dc round.
