The Max Beanie

Morning folks! Day 16 and we have a fun bright beanie today. The Max beanie uses rounds of coloured puff stitches to add some really fun texture. I imagine it would look equally great using gradients of the same colour of yarn for the stripes. Oh so many possibilities!

The Max Beanie

Sized To Fit:
32-34 weeks gestation

Measurements:
10cm diameter across the crown at the end of round 5
12.5cm tall
14cm across brim

You Will Need:
4mm hook
DK/8ply/Light Worsted/weight 3 yarn

Special Stitch: Puff - yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull through (3 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull through (5 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull through (7 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull through (9 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull through (11 loops on hook), yarn over, pull through all loops.

Key = A - White
           B - Green
           C - Blue
           D - Yellow

With A
1. In a magic ring, dc 8 times, join. (8)
2. ch2, dc in the same stitch, 2dc in each stitch around, join. (16)
3. ch2, dc in the same stitch, *dc in the next stitch, 2dc in the next stitch*, repeat around, join. (24)
4. ch2, dc in the same stitch, *dc in the next 2 stitches, 2dc in the next stitch*, repeat around, join. (32)
5. ch2, dc in the same stitch, *dc in the next 3 stitches, 2dc in the next stitch*, repeat around, join. (40)
