Today's beanie is a spike stitch granny patter, with 3 alternating colours, but you could change that to be more or less to suit your preference. This beanie will fit a bub of 36 weeks gestation.

1: With A, into a magic ring ch3 and make 11dc, join to the ch3. -12dc
2: With B, ch3, dc in the same st, 2dc in all remaining sts around, join to the ch3. - 24dc
3: With C, ch3, dc in the same st, ch1, sk1, *2dc in the next st, ch1, sk1*, repeat around, join to the ch3. -24dc, 12ch
4: With A, Slst into the first ch1 space, ch3, 2dc in the same ch1 space, ch1, * 3dc, ch1* in each remaining ch1 space around, join to the ch3. - 36dc, 12ch
5: With B, slst into the first ch1 space, ch3, dc between the 2dc directly below the space, dc in the same ch1 space, * in the next ch1 space (dc, dc between the 2dc directly below the space, dc), ch1 *, repeat around, join to the ch3.
6: With C, slst into the next ch1 space, ch3, dc into the ch1 space, dc into the 2nd dc of the 3dc cluster below, dc into the same ch1 space, ch1, * in the next ch1 space, (dc, dc into the 2nd dc of the cluster below, dc), ch1*, repeat across, join to the ch3.
7: With A, repeat round 6.
8: With B, repeat row 6
