Day 6, welcome, welcome!
Today's pattern is a bonnet that is crocheted from the brim back, instead of the the usual way of crown to brim. This beanie will fit 34 Weeks gestation and looks great with a contrasting brim or as a solid one colour bonnet.

Starting chain counts as first stitch, and in the end round stitch count.

Finished Measurements: Approx. 12.5cm from brim to crown, 13.5cm across the brim
Amount Of Yarn Used: 42 Meters/47 Yards/16g of 4Seasons Marvel 8ply.
Hook Size: 4mm
Yarn: DK Weight/8ply in a main and 1 contrasting colour
Starting with contrasting brim colour
1: ch6, dc into the 3rd loop from ch and in the next 3 chs. -4dc
2: ch3, turn, dc blo all 4 sts. -4dc
3-19: repeat row 2.
End off and weave in tails.
With your main colour
1: Join yarn to either end of the band, and ch1, sc evenly for 44 sts across the length of the band - 44sc
2: ch4, dc in the same st, * ch2, sk3, sc in the next st, ch2, sk3, (dc, ch1, dc, ch1, dc) in the next sts *, repeat across, dc in the last st.
3: ch4, turn, dc in the same st, *ch2, sc in the 2nd dc of the 3dc cluster, ch2, (dc, ch1, dc, ch1, dc) in the next sc *, repeat across, ch2, sc in the starting ch3 from prev round.
4-11: Repeat row 3.
End off and leave a long tail. Fold bonnet in half and sew up the back seam.
Ties and Finishing
Using your contrasting colour ch40, hold the bonnet so that the back seam is closest to your body and the neck line is facing up. Join your yarn to the right hand corner, ch2, sc evenly along the entire neckline to the other corner, and ch40 to complete the second tie.
