Spikes Bag - Free crochet pattern

Morning beautiful people.

Today's pattern is a little different from the ones Ive been doing. Actually, its been sitting on my HD for ages now waiting to be submitted and I keep overlooking it!

A little marble bag! Of course, you could put anything at all in it, but that is what my girls needed and so a marble bag we have :D

Its simple and easy and uses hardly any yarn at all. Enjoy!

You will need:
DK weight yarn (8ply)
4.5mm hook

SPIKE STITCH: yo, insert hook in the stitch directly below the one you would usually use, pull yarn through, complete dc like normal.

1. ch2, 12dc into the first chain, join.
2. ch2, dc in the same stitch, 2dc in each remaining stitch, join
3. ch2, dc in same stitch, *dc, 2dc in the next stitch* Repeat around

change colour

4. ch2, hdc in each stitch around, join.

5. ch2 counts as 1st dc, dc in the next 4 stitches, spike stitch, *dc in the next 5, spike* repeat around, join

change colour

6. ch2, hdc in each stitch around, join

change colour

7. ch2, dc in the next stitch, spike stitch, *dc in the next 5 stitches, spike* repeat around, join

change colour

8. ch2, hdc in each stitch around, join.

change colour

9. ch2, dc in the next stitch, spike stitch, *dc in the next 5 stitches, spike* repeat around, join

10-11. ch2, hdc in each stitch around, join. End off, weave in loose ends.

Chain 60 to make a tie, weave in and out of round 10.
