Frill Top Bootie - Free Pattern

Hello again! Another bootie pattern today. This one is constructed the same as the denim cuff bootie but with alterations to the top. It makes a frilly girly bootie that would look great in any colour! As always, terms are American. Finished bootie is about 5.5cm in length.

For these booties you will need
DK weight yarn (8ply in Aus) in 2 colours. I use Moda Vera Marvel Plain.
3.00mm Hook

1. ch12. hdc twice in the 2nd chain from hook and in the next 9 chains. 3hdc in the last chain.

Working on the opposite side, hdc in the next 9 stitches, 1hdc in the same place as the starting hdc, Join.

2. ch2, hdc in every stitch around, join. (23)

3. ch2, hdc in the next 5, hdc2tg 7 times, hdc in the last 4, join.

4. ch2, hdc in the next 4, hdc2tg 4 times, hdc in the last 4, Join.

5. ch3, dc in each stitch around, join. End off the main colour, in my case white.

6. Join your contrasting colour (pink) with a sl st and chain 3. *sc in the next st, ch3* Repeat this around to create a frilly edge. Join to the starting chain and end off. Weave in ends.

See now wasn't that super fast! If you would like to add a tie, chain 50 and weave the tie in and out of round 4. You could also use thin ribbon.

Denim Cuff 6cm Booties

Named purely because this lovely yarn reminded me of denim. Its called Birds Nest by Moda Vera and is 100% cotton. Beautiful yarn! See a pattern here? Mostly I use Moda Vera from Spotlight (Its all I have locally) They ought to be supplying me yarn for all this plugging lol!

Anyhow, This pattern makes little booties that are about 6cm in length, so they would fit hrm 28-30 weeks gestation. The image isn't too grand, its late here but I really wanted to get this one up and listed. Its super easy, takes about 10 minutes to make one bootie and its all done in one piece, so nothing to add or join!

You will need
3.00mm hook
needle for sewing in ends
Moda Vera Birds Nest, or a similar cotton 4ply baby yarn (fingering for our US friends)
Pattern is written in US terms.
