You can find Chance's Clothing Project on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/chances.clothes.project
This project would also be lovely to make pillows for play dolls, reborn dolls ect.
Ok onto the pattern
Written in AMERICAN terms
3.00mm hook
dk weight yarn in main and contrasting colours (I used craftworks dk 8ply from chickenfeed)
large holed needle for weaving in ends.
R1: CH22
R2: HDC in 2nd st from hook and each across
R3: CH2, turn. HDC in each stitch across.
Repeat row 3 until piece is 6cm long (2.5inch) Take note of how many rows you did.
Finish off and weave in ends.
Make a second piece with the same amount of rows as the first.
With contrasting colour:
Holding both pieces of the pillow together, wrong sides facing, join your contrasting colour and ch2. HDS in each stitch around, spacing the stitches evenly down the sides. Be sure to place 2HDC in each corner to help with a smooth turn.
When you get to the last side, lightly stuff the pillow with polyfirbe or leftover yarn before finishing the row. Joun to the ch2 when you make it back to the start.
CH3, DC 2 times into the same stitch. 3DC in each stitch around. Join to the top of the CH3 when you get back to the start. Finish off and weave in all ends.
Thats it! Add whatever embellishments you like and your all done.
Remember, this is a charity pattern. Do not re-upload and please dont profit from it.
I thought this would be a great item to donate in memory of my son along with some other things I'm making for preemies. I can't wait to finish it and see how it turns out.
