Barbie Month .13 - Ball Gown V1.




Hello beautiful people!

Welcome to day 13. Today's pattern is one that most little girls will ask for more then anything else. A beautiful gown for Barbie. Be it for a ball or a wedding, Barbie definitely needs something elegant to wear.
This gown is simple as simple can be, so even a beginner can whip this up in no time at all and impress and delight children!


You will need:
dk weight (8ply) yarn
fun fur/fun fibre of any kind in a matching colour
4mm hook
rubber band

1. Join the yarn to the band with a sl st and sc 18 times around the band, join.
2. ch2, hdc around, join
3. ch2, *hdc in the next stitch, hdc2tg* Repeat around, join.
4-5. ch2, hdc around, join.
6. ch2, *hdc, 2hdc in the next stitch*, Repeat around.
7. Repeat round 6.
8. ch2, hdc around
9. Repeat round 6.
10-19. ch2, hdc in each stitch around, join.
End off the main colour and join fun fibre
20. ch2, hdc in each stitch around.
21. Repeat round 20.

Like usual, this would look great in all sorts of colours, with matching OR contrasting trim!

My 7-year old granddaughter was just thrilled to have these unique dresses for her dolls and I am so delighted that my Grandmother taught me to crochet so I can provide her, through your patterns, these wonderful clothes for her many Barbie dolls!
