Morning all and welcome to day 10!
Today's beanie is so sweet. It features what's called a side crochet stitch, meaning that the stitch is created around the post of the previous stitch, making it sit sideways. It's super easy to do once you've done a few and the effect is a lovely textured stitch.

You Will Need:
3.25mm hook
Sport weight/5ply yarn I used Moda Vera Marvel 5ply.
All stitches are in American terms.
Special Notes: To create the side stitch, you need to crochet around the post of the previous stitch. The first one of each side stitch row will be around the starting chain, be careful to make sure your stitch doesn’t ride up and cover the top of your ch3, you’ll need to b eable to see that 3rd chain to join to it.
1: Into a magic ring, ch2, dc 10 times, join to the first dc. - 10
2: Ch3 (counts as first stitch), dc around the post of the first stitch (ch3) just made, *dc in the next stitch, dc around the stitch just made*, repeat around, join to the ch3. - 20dc (4.5cm/1.7”)
3: Ch1, sc in the same stitch, sc the next stitch, *2sc in the next stitch, sc in the next stitch*, repeat around, join to the first ch. - 30 (6cm/2.3”)
4: Ch3 (counts as first stitch), dc around the post of the previous stitch, dc in the next stitch, dc around the post of the previous stitch, skip 1, *dc in the next stitch, dc around the post of the previous stitch, dc in the next stitch, dc around the post of the previous stitch, skip 1*, repeat around, join to the ch3. - 40 (8cm/3.1”)
5: Ch1, sc in each stitch around, join to first ch. - 40
6: Ch3, dc around the post of the previous stitch, skip 1, *dc in the next stitch, dc around the post of the previous stitch, skip 1*, repeat around, join to ch3. -40
7: Repeat round 5.
8: Repeat round 6.
9: Repeat round 5.
10: Repeat round 6.
11: Repeat round 5.
End off and weave in tails.
Finished measurements: Total height 9cm/3.5”, Width across brim 11cm/4.3”
